The Influencer Marketing Factory’s March 2022 online survey covered 1,044+ U.S. adults. Among the respondents, 35% recalled buying a product or service advertised by a virtual influencer.

The figure reflects purchases people remembered making, within a U.S. survey conducted in March 2022. It gives brands a historical reference for how virtual characters featured in respondents’ buying decisions.
Our reading is that virtual characters deserve to be considered as a creative format when they fit the audience and the offer. A useful test would track purchases alongside the content, placement and response, so the team can learn what its own character contributes. What matters is the response to your specific creative and offer.
